PAINTINGS

Her art practise focuses primarily on the process, its materials and the colours utilised through the philosophical belief that an artwork is never completed, but is a work in progress that remains constant.

Driven by the concrete act of mark making, Rebecca’s methodical use of the brushstroke, placed with a great deal of thought, technique, and care, record the passage of time across the surface.

She repeatedly creates and erases her strokes, over and over again, until she feels that the art work represents a precision of balance between the inner and the outer, seeking to create direct projections of what happens in the depth of a person’s being by forever questioning realities.
